terramondi and Oli Söhnel Racing agree on a strategic partnership in the racing sector

Oliver Söhnel has been in touch with motorsports since his youngest childhood. At that time, his father took part in rallies, mountain and circuit races, and car slalom events. In his opinion, motorsport at that time was a little easier to compete in. Everyone knew each other, they helped each other and sometimes they were happy together about the success of a competitor.

He experienced these times himself a little later as a 'screwdriver'. He worked for various endurance cup teams and was thus right in the middle of his passion. However, normal life next to the racetrack became increasingly important, so that a motorsport career was out of the question for a variety of reasons. Reason still prevailed. After further training as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician, the fascination of racing caught up with him again.

In 1998, he decided to buy his first race car, a Fiat Cinquecento Trofeo from the recently completed Rally Cup. This was overhauled by himself for use on the circuit, slightly modified and he was already at the start of his first GLP event on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In 2001, after a double program of GLP with the Fiat and Castrol-Haugg-Cup with an Opel in the 2000 season, followed the promotion to the BF Goodrich Endurance Championship with an Opel Astra GSi 16V.

Since this time he takes part in various racing events or sport driver trainings with different race cars. Through this he trains continuously and brings his track knowledge up to date.

We at terramondi have often had contact with the motor sports sector in the past with our PVC tiles, as they are ideal for quick and easy installation in workshops, motor homes, garages or other halls in which cars or vehicles are screwed and worked on.

We are therefore all the more pleased to have Oli Söhnel Racing as a competent partner in the racing sector, who will help us to raise the profile of our terramondi brand even further in the motorsport sector.

It all started with the race on the Bilster Berg racetrack on 02.10.2021, where Oli Söhnel Racing stepped on the gas for the first time with his newly equipped Renault Clio with terramondi lettering! We keep our fingers crossed for him in the future and wish him all the best!
