Information

Preparation of the substrate:

  • The substrate must be level, dry, hard, load-bearing, free of grease, dust and silicone
  • Wallpaper must be cut / removed at a height covering the base
  • Bind dust with a solvent-free primer (e.g. UZIN PE 260)
  • Depending on the condition of the wall: smooth out any unevenness with a suitable filling compound
  • Floor covering must be bonded flat to the substrate in the edge area

Method of installation:

Cutting:
Cut to length using skirting shears or a carpet knife. Soft skirting boards must always be installed without tension or stress.

Processing:

  1. set up the profile on the floor with the help of the buckling foot and press it against the wall. Ensure that the profile is pressed on without tension or stress. 2.

  2. depending on the type of fastening: directly before gluing the soft skirting, remove the masking paper from the adhesive tape. 3.

  3. tap the skirting board with a rubber mallet without gaps or roll on firmly with a wallpaper roller.

  4. corner formation: avoid tension. Pre-bend soft skirting well at inside or outside corners. Additional hammering with a rubber mallet on the pre-bent area is suitable for this purpose.

  5. inside corners: avoid tension. Cutting in the foot is necessary for the inside corner. For this purpose, the foot is cut in up to the kink.
