Floor markings in warehouses

A warehouse mess can make things difficult for any business, regardless of size.
Anyone who values cleanliness and occupational safety cannot do without strict rules, organization and color marking.

The colors on the floor are essentially the best way to mark:

  • Zones for the traffic of personnel, forklifts and other machines,
  • Individual parts of the warehouse - for example for storing flower pots, for watering cans, for restricted areas and so on further,
  • dangerous spaces (narrow passages, tricky curves or intersections),
  • corridors and other roads..

What are the options for floor marking?

Common practice dictates having a monolithic floor of gray or black color, with the zones marked with paint or tape. The latter is certainly the worst option, it doesn't last long and peels very soon after application, so it's only a temporary solution. Similar properties also apply to colors. They have a longer lifespan, but after a few years they wear out and must be maintained if they are to serve their purpose. All in all, they are even more expensive because the company has to pay for removal and reapplication.

In contrast, there are the Terramondi colored PVC tiles. Once you click them like a puzzle, your job is over. The color is permanent, the tiles last forever. And if you ever manage to damage one, just replace that one piece. Another big advantage is the short installation time - there is no need to stop production during replacement, as is the case with epoxy floors, which only dry out in 12-18 hours.

You can do it all with Terramondi mark

The PVC Terramondi Industry tiles are designed for spaces such as warehouses as they can withstand heavy loads from forklifts and other machinery. This is available in three non-slip versions and twelve colors. With these many colors you can create practically anything, let your imagination run wild. You can match it to company colors, mark corridors and zones to improve worker safety, mark red areas with restricted access.

However, what counts more than design in warehouses is practicality. For this reason, Terramondi's PVC tiles also include a series of floor transitions, particularly useful for forklift striping. In zones with high staff traffic, anti-slip motifs seem to be the right choice. This also applies to the parts of the warehouse where water is expected. Finally, this can also be marked with a different color.
